Meet Brian A. Hall

Managing Partner of the Austin, Texas Office

Brian A. Hall is a member of Traverse Legal, PLC and the managing partner of its Austin, Texas office, doing business as Hall Law. He has represented tech startups, enterprise Internet companies and brand owners throughout the world with their Intellectual Property, Technology and Internet Law issues, including in both litigation and transactional matters.  Brian has served as outside technology counsel, including in-house in a secondment role, for Austin, Texas based WPEngine, Inc., as well as outside general counsel to other publicly traded and private companies alike.

Brian regularly helps manage and enforce IP portfolios for public and private companies and high-net worth individuals and family trusts.  He also has over a decade of experience in Internet Law, including digital and social media, advertising and promotions as well as privacy and data matters.

Brian is a limited partner in StartupRunner, a seed stage venture capital fund, and is an active angel investor in Austin with the Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN).  He understands technology having worked with the global management consulting firm Accenture.

Meet Stephen M. Aarons

Stephen M. Aarons is an attorney in our Austin, Texas office.  His practice focuses on corporate and transactional matters, including private securities offerings, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate formation and governance. He has represented emerging fund managers in hedge, private equity and venture fund formations and start-up businesses in various company formations and corporate governance matters.  Stephen has served as outside general counsel to investment companies and private funds, including hedge, private equity, real estate and venture capital funds.  Prior to attending law school, Stephen spent five years working in banking and real estate finance with Wells Fargo Private Bank and the Wentwood Capital Advisors, a real estate investment management firm.
